Working with Ohno Satoshi for the first time in "Kagi no Kakatta Heya", Sato Koichi plays a veteran lawyer who believes in the phrase "Time is Money".

This is good news because it seems every online shops I visited doesn't have the novel in stock anymore. Even my YesAsia order for this item was cancelled. Kind of hoping they'll re-publish the other two books in Enomoto-Junko series too. (In case you're wondering, I can't handle reading a book in japanese yet... I'm buying them for future use :P)

On laptop screen.. I think it's the dorama's script.
The book on the table is the 2nd book in the Enomoto-Junko series (Kagi no Kakatta Heya is the 3rd book) by Kishi Yusuke. The title is 「狐火の家」 (Kitsunebi no Ie).

All books in the Enomoto-Junko series were in the top ten list from "Honkaku Mystery Best 10"

The phrase "鍵　かかった部屋" appeared in ATARU (said by Ataru/Chokozai). I haven't watch the dorama yet though... but I read that if the KagiHeya team somehow manage to fit in "Gacha" [ガチャ] (as I haven't watch ATARU, I'm unsure of what this is XD) in KagiHeya... then it would be complete (returns favour???).

Complete for what.. I dunno!! Subtle promo??? XD.. the phrase could be a coincidence only, no? But this is still an interesting tidbit because both doramas' average ratings (so far) is near... either could be the #1 dorama (by ratings) this season.

Done a bit research on this.. seems like it's a short story written by Kishi-sensei that was compiled in Yasei Jidai (not sure what format this is). The original title is:「ゆるやかな自殺」(Gradual Suicides)

According to a tweet by @yaseijidai in February this year, it's a short story for Bouhan Tantei・Enomoto [series?].

-Tough competition for ratings. At the same time slot, TBS aired "Setagaya Chuzai Deka" (13.3%) and there's a soccer match (with Nadeshiko Japan) aired on another channel (14.0%).
-Just something I want to let out here. After seeing Maou's DVD sales (seems like the japanese audience got curious after watching Ohno in KagiHeya :D) recently, I realised that the total sales of the dorama's DVD box-set brings more meaning than viewership ratings... :P

Another thing, someone on 2ch mentioned (I think it was an Ohno fan) about the way Serizawa & Junko stood up behind Enomoto in the scenes where Enomoto introduces the case. Seems like whoever stands at Enomoto's right side hints at the gender of the real culprit.

Average rating: 15.86% (officially 16%)
According to Oricon, the peak of the rating was 19.2% during the scene after the case is solved and Enomoto called Junko from the airport.

 I really don't get the official average ratings for other doramas (ATARU & Mikeneko).. in Kagi's case I can see that they rounded it to 1 decimal place Lol... it's rounded again to 16... *CONFUSED*..... For ATARU (15.42, officially 15.6) & Mikeneko (12.62, officially 12.8), the rounding process were totally strange XD. ................  *got more confused*
...maybe I'll change all later if following the official ratings are in dramawiki's policy.

All filming finished on June 21st, hence "Kagi no Kakatta Heya" filming wrapped up that day.
Actually Ohno finished filming his scenes on 18th of June... (maybe this was during midnight). Toda finished filming on June 21st. Sato-san finished filming his scenes on June 17th.
