After I finished watching that series...I don't really have much to say because I fast-forwarded most of the scene with Niu Meng Meng in it. Well, I just don't like her acting style---I can't stand it!! What a waste! Her character could have been something like Yi Qian & she...*sigh* lets don't waste time talking about her...
Kangta was okay as Jin Xiu, its a pity he has to be the baddie in this serial (oh, well, the character wasn't that bad actually...I like his character a bit at the end...yet, why did Jin Xiu had to die? I don't really get it at that part..)
Overall, I will describe it as:
Nice story. Nice songs. Nice scenery.

Not so nice Alec's hairstyle.....haha
not all the time-lah...he looks good when he's going to perform magic......& sth I must mention is: there's a scene when they are practising magic---Jun An suddenly 'become' En Qi!!! LOL...
& about the date Jun An & Xiao Mei had in eps-i-dont-remember (7?)...---haha...both was in pink tops!!! (I had a discussion about man wearing pink clothes with my friend yesterday...She dislike seeing them because it look girlish on them, but I said it looks fine if the right man wears it. I've seen one, right?)...for this scene, I think Jun An's hairstyle was quite cute...
About the story.... it feels fresh watching a serial with magic as its theme... yeah, Jun An's hair may not be magical enough, but his eyes are. I enjoy watching him perform esp the last performance (eps 20) where he made the building disappeared.
But something is wrong with that serial, & I just don't know what it is.
I would say I prefer 'Love of the Aegean Sea' (LOTAS) more because the story in LOTAS was very lively (although the story was a bit ridiculous---as said by some viewers). The story of Li Yao Xiang's family, Hui Wen & Da Wei, & some other side characters brought the story to life. All of the characters are there for a reason. Well, I don't really like Xiang Wei Wei character but her character is important because if not for her busy mouth, En Qi will never thought of going to streets meeting people to collect 10, 000 'Get Well Soon' cards for Xiao Tong. & without Xiao San, Xiao Tong will never know what En Qi had done secretly....
Some of the characters in MSQY are just so not likeable.
& I hate that Ya Nan-----SO IRRITATING!
